Sustainability Manager

36 to 40 hours a week

As the Sustainability Manager your responsibility is to further develop and maintain a sustainability strategy for the group and subsequently facilitate the translation into action plans and (year)targets. Furthermore, the role includes the representation of the company in relevant (international) forums in order to follow and support the development of relevant regulations and legislation.

A substantial part of the Sustainability Manager’s responsibilities is related to effective internal and external stakeholder management regarding our sustainability vision and Corporate Social Responsibility policy,  as well as the development and implementation of an effective communication strategy.

Concentrating on the future is in the DNA of our family business. Sustainability is anchored in the organisation. We are responsible for leaving behind a healthy company for this and future generations; we are firm believers in a clean heritage.

We give substance to this ambition through four goals. With our sustainability vision, we want to achieve these goals by 2035. Together with our partners, we are on our journey towards achieving:

100% Circular
We are part of a circular economy by using 100% renewable raw materials for our products and packaging. We don’t waste anything.

100% CO2neutral production
We want to reduce our direct and indirect CO2 footprint (for scope 1 and 2) to ‘0’ and substantially reduce our indirect (scope 3) emissions.

100% Responsible products
Our products can be used safely and don’t have a negative impact on the environment.

100% Transparency and openness about products
We are transparent and honest about the composition of our products and the origin of the materials used.

Together with the sustainability taskforce and the local (sustainability) representatives the Sustainability Manager will work on investigating, advising, implementing and monitoring action plans to come a step closer to achieving above mentioned goals.

You are constantly looking for creative opportunities to work more sustainable and do this with such conviction and enthusiasm that you inspire colleagues to do the same.

Because of your knowledge, contacts with stakeholders, your advisory role in which you dare to ask critical questions and through coordination with and enthusing the various internal departments, you help the organisation to take the next steps towards achieving our sustainability ambition.

So, are you the driven individual who is not afraid  to walk ahead of the crowds, sees the possibilities on the horizon, but at the same time is able to translate this into practical steps and enthuse people to join in? Let us know!
