(Junior) Sustainability Data Analyst

As a (Junior) Sustainability Data Analyst, it’s your task to process the provided data and thereby make an impact in the international manufacturing industry.

Hogewoning B.V. is a rapidly growing company in the interior decoration sector. Multiple collections are produced annually, utilizing both in-house expertise and external designers. The company has a long tradition of international trendsetting in home decor and operates with strength and dynamism.

For our team, we are looking for a:

(Junior) Sustainability Data Analyst

 As a Junior Sustainability Data Analyst, you’ll become the data expert in sustainability within Hogewoning.

As a Junior Sustainability Data Analyst, you play a crucial role in Hogewoning’s sustainability policy. You’re responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting sustainability data. You work closely with our sustainability manager to map our environmental impact for the CSRD, such as CO2-emissions, (circular) material usage, and energy consumption. Thanks to this data, we build and realize our sustainability strategy.

What will you do?

  • Collecting sustainability data from various sources, including internal systems, external reports, and public databases;
  • Analysing sustainability data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations relevant to business strategy and sustainability goals;
  • Developing automated reporting systems and dashboards to track and communicate sustainability performance to stakeholders;
  • Collaborating with various departments, including sustainability, operations, finance, and marketing, to identify and fulfil data needs;
  • Identifying opportunities for sustainability improvement based on data analysis and making recommendations for actions;
  • Supporting sustainability reporting processes for external stakeholders, such as investors, customers, and regulatory authorities.

 For the position, we require the following:

Competencies

  • Required education and thinking level is at bachelor’s level;
  • You have a minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience as a (Junior) Sustainability Data Analyst;
  • Project management is an important part of this role, you can think in terms of projects and follow up on goals and agreements made;
  • You have analytical skills and the ability to understand, analyse, and interpret complex data;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Computer proficiency is essential, as much work involves Excel and cloud-based tools;
  • Results-oriented; you set clear objectives with the Sustainability Manager, hold yourself and the team accountable for achieving those goals, and take action to overcome obstacles and achieve success;
  • Dutch language proficiency is not required for this position, but it’s helpful if you’re willing to learn.

 We have significant ambitions in sustainability. As a Junior Sustainability Data Analyst, you’ll be closely involved in making our entire chain emissions transparent with the ultimate goal of achieving carbon neutrality. Other important themes include circularity and material usage. Additionally, there are many social issues, such as labour conditions in the chain.

A new Sustainability Manager has been appointed to further shape and implement the sustainability strategy. Now it’s important to have an executive person, with a data-driven background, to help process the data in a project-oriented manner.
