Description of the role:

The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales of BioTransformers in the assigned region, industry or customer group. The Sales Manager is representing CIRC and is the first “go to” person for customers questions, including commercial, technical and process questions. CIRC is a fast growing company offering innovative solutions, therefore the Sales Manager needs to be comfortable with a high degree of uncertainty and a fast changing environment. The Sales Manager plays a crucial role in the development of CIRC as the sales speed is determining CIRC’s growth speed. Part of the role will be aimed at selling the existing customer solutions and part will be about further developing CIRC’s market fit by translating customer needs into product offerings. Being comfortable with value selling and selling a technical solution is crucial for the role.

The Sales Manager will be closely cooperating with the technical support and marketing team. This requires a team player who is taking initiative, is open for suggestions and delivers results. The Sales Manager ensures progress of the sales plan in a structured and SMART way, manages obstacles pro-actively and communicates with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting line:

The Sales Manager will report to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Responsibilities:

  •  Sell BioTransformers in the assigned region/industry/customer groups
  •  Develop a sales plan for the assigned region/industry/customer groups
  •  Implement the signed off sales plan in an “on time, in full, in spec, in budget” manner
  •  Identify and share “customer needs” with the rest of the CIRC organization
  •  Represent CIRC In the best possible way with its stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in similar roles or organizations (start-up/scale-up)
  • Experience with value selling and/or selling of technical solutions
  • Affinity with sustainability
  • Completed technical BSc/MSc title
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
